On Saturday, April 29th thousands of individuals will mobilize in Washington, D.C. and across the United States and the world for the 2017 People's Climate March (PCM) for Climate, Jobs & Justice. The Women's Global Call for Climate Justice (WGCCJ) Campaign strongly supports the Women for Climate Justice (WCJ) Contingent at the PCM. Today, we ask YOU to join us in amplifying the WCJ demands this weekend and beyond by signing our petition here: https://action.manifesta.net/p/womenclimatejusticePCM The Women's Global Call for Climate Justice and the WCJ Contingent call for: An end to climate denialism, extractive economies & fossil fuel industry Women's rights, indigenous peoples rights, rural community rights, immigrant rights, LGBTQI rights to be at the core of all climate policies and action A just and equitable transition that includes access to safe, just and renewable energy and decent work opportunities for women while redistributing care work We will march as a diverse, intersectional coalition of women's groups, climate justice organizations, and allies with a strong voice and demands that will echo beyond the march. Over 100 Feminists Sign Onto Solidarity Statement!

Yesterday, for International Women's Day, women and allies across the world joined the Global Strike to demand gender equality and women's human rights. The Women's Global Call for Climate Justice released a Statement of Solidarity calling for not only women's human rights but also climate justice, global equality, and development justice. A coalition of diverse organizations and individuals will unite and march as a 'Women for Climate Justice' contingent during the Women's March on Washington to stand for the health of our Earth and our global communities.
