We stand with Women for Climate Justice at the PCM!
On Saturday, April 29th thousands of individuals will mobilize in Washington, D.C. and across the United States and the world for the 2017 People's Climate March (PCM) for Climate, Jobs & Justice. The Women's Global Call for Climate Justice (WGCCJ) Campaign strongly supports the Women for Climate Justice (WCJ) Contingent at the PCM. - An end to climate denialism, extractive economies & fossil fuel industry
- Women's rights, indigenous peoples rights, rural community rights, immigrant rights, LGBTQI rights to be at the core of all climate policies and action
- A just and equitable transition that includes access to safe, just and renewable energy and decent work opportunities for women while redistributing care work
Women's Run for Climate Justice
Description: GenderCC, a global network of organisations, experts and activists, participate in the Airfield Run, a famous marathon at Tempelhofer Feld, the Airfield Run. Six women will run the total length of the marathon together, wearing GenderCC T-Shirts to spread this message: The world needs to reach international agreements that guarantee climate justice at COP21. To achieve this, women should be included in decision making and gender just climate policies should be established.

Description: We joined the city's weekend-bike ride in one of the major streets to draw some attention on what women want to say about climate change and what they think they need. We invited people, particularly women, to know more about the climate agreement which for many of them is something they have never heard of and as part of the campaign invited them to write their own message about climate change and what they think needs to be done.

Save Generations Organization organized a mobilization action for Climate Justice to women and young girls beneficiaries to its Vocational and Technical Training program at Kabuga Youth Center, Rusororo Sector, Gasabo District, Kigali, Rwanda. The purpose of this action was to call on women and young girls to be aware of climate change crisis, its impact on people in general and particularly on women and young girls as well as to the future generations; to call them to take action against the root causes of climate crisis; and to join hands together and call for action on climate justice.

We will work across 10 state capitals in India, particular with women's groups, to explain the climate change negotiations process and the intended outcomes of the Paris Conference of Parties. It will be brought to the attention of the public how and why gender equality, human rights and justice need to be at the center of the agreement. In each of the state capitals, we will run awareness and advocacy programs involving representatives of the local government, academics, practitioners, women, youth, local citizens, CSOs and legislators.
