Description: In Mali, most young women are not aware of gender inequality and climate change. They don't understand the link between the two matters. As a major section of the population, young women and girls must learn how to preserve and protect the environment. Our education system does not provide such training. At our organization "Women Leadership and Sustainable Development", we are doing a lot of awareness campaigns to get young women involved in the climate change debate. We are also working at the executive level to raise the issue of gender during COP 21 in Paris. Our delegation must have some women and must be prepared to stand for gender sensitive action following Paris.
